Al' Kaar

Al'Kaar serves as the central character in the narrative "Wings of The Desert" by Luna S. Winterheart. He belongs to the cultured Argon community residing in the bustling Mar'tack City.

Much like his fellow cultured Argons, Al'Kaar possesses a deep appreciation for human culture. He emulates human behavior and has mastered the human language. One of his cherished pastimes involves whistling his favorite tunes, a skill imparted to him by a human peddler who taught him the art of tent-making.

Al'Kaar holds Ikh Da’af, the esteemed leader of Mar'tack City, in the highest regard, akin to a father figure. He is unwavering in his devotion and is willing to undertake any task in the service of his leader.

Due to his sharp intellect and persuasive abilities, Ikh Da'af entrusts Al'Kaar with the crucial responsibility of establishing trust with the wild Argons, coaxing them to join the ranks of civilized Argons within Mar'tack City.

Al'Kaar possesses formidable physical prowess and agility. His weapon of choice is the kusarigama, a long chain with a sickle at its end. He wields this weapon with mastery, allowing him precise control over its level of harm when engaged in combat.

Al'Kaar's friendly demeanor and striking appearance draw the attention of many females. However, he refrains from pursuing romantic relationships, reserving his commitment for the most exceptional mate within his category.

Prior to his assimilation into the cultured tribe, Al'Kaar and his younger brother led a nomadic life in the wild. They were part of a group of wild Argons who resorted to thievery along the desert's borders.

Their fortunes took a tragic turn when humans retaliated, resulting in Al'Kaar losing his brother and suffering grave injuries. It was at this perilous juncture that Ikh Da’af discovered and nursed him back to health.

Subsequently, Al'Kaar embarked on a quest to seek out other wild Argons and encourage their integration into Mar'tack City. Simultaneously, he endeavored to locate his mother, an endeavor that sadly remained futile.

Within the narrative of "Wings of The Desert," Al'Kaar is entrusted with the task of locating the wind Argons responsible for recent attacks on Northely's borders and persuading them to join the cultured tribe. Despite the tendency of male Argons to travel in groups, Al'Kaar chooses to venture alone, driven by the shortage of individuals capable of safeguarding the city against the perilous threat of death worms.

During his journey, a chance encounter with Rilka, a wild Argon female, alters the course of his destiny. Their interactions and emotional growth compel Al'Kaar to question his devotion to human culture and to contemplate Rilka's role in his life.
